We are currently looking for a Gas / Plumbing Technician to work in the Reading / Basingstoke area.

Carrying out repairs and maintenance to Connaught’s customers in a safe and proper manner. Ensuring works are completed to a consistent high standard in addition to providing our customers with their best experience of customer service.

We are looking for the successful individual to have:

·Previous experience working in repairs and maintenance in housing services is essential

·Experience of working in a building environment and completing repair work in occupied homes

·Qualified to a minimum level of NVQ3 – Gas or equivalent – CCN1 Core competence, CP12 and Unvented Cylinders certification essential

·Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) or a suitable ACOP or S/NVQ equivalent for the full range of appliances or as agreed by the company

·Sound Practical knowledge of Gas Fitting / Plumbing and maintenance functions

·Gas Safety / Possession of ACT Card

·A knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety

·Good interpersonal skills

·Able to plan and prioritise to ensure the effective use of own time

·Commitment to providing a high quality service to all Connaught customers

·Able to form & maintain good working relationships at all levels, internal & externally

·Hold Full driving licence

·Good technical knowledge of carrying out small building works

·Good numeracy and literacy
